Desperate Housewives: 5.09 Me and My Town

Preview of “Desperate Housewives” episode 5.09 has been released. With the title “Me and My Town”, it focuses on the residents’ recovery after a deadly fire disturbs the peaceful life of Wisteria Lane’s citizens in the series’ last episode.

The episode shows the injuries sustained in the fire by Gaby and Carlos leading them to a fortunate discovery. Meanwhile, Lynette and Tom Scavo vow to protect their son, Porter, who gets arrested. For Susan Delfino, she must learn to let go of the man she loves. Also, Orson Hodge’s attempt to get a good night’s sleep puts Bree in a most precarious position on the day of her big cooking demonstration.

Guest starring Annalise Basso as Denise and Lily Tomlin as Roberta, “Me and My Town” is scheduled to air on ABC on November 30 at 9/8c, two weeks from the broadcast of episode 5.08.

Hollywood PR agent Hal Lifson said series creator Marc Cherry was “very hot to trot to have (Palin) appear on the season five finale”, the New York Post claims.

“Marc is highly enamoured of Sarah and sees her as the ultimate guest star [playing] a similar version of herself,” he said.

“The idea has gone over surprisingly well with execs at Disney, who see it as a blockbuster based on Sarah’s huge ratings on ‘Saturday Night Live.”

However, fans of John McCain’s old running mate will be sorry to hear that an ABC spokesman said there was “no truth” in the rumour.

Marc Cherry has declined to comment.

During the campaign, the Alaksan governor famously referred to herself as a “hocky mom”.

Her outfits during the race for the White House have also been likened to the skirt suits sported by uptight character Bree Van de Kamp on the hit US show.

Desperate Housewives, which start Terri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman, is currently in its fifth series.

Ms Palin recently paid tribute to President-elect Barack Obama saying America is in safe hands if he “governs with the skill and the grace and the greatness of which he is capable”.

A fire will destroy not only a venue, but also a desperate housewife’s life. In the new episode of “Desperate Housewives“, everyone has gathered at a club to see the guys play in the annual “Battle of the Bands” when a fire erupts, threatening the lives of those in attendance. Some will fall as a hero will rise.

Cast Dana Delany spilled last month that somebody may not survive the incident, saying “We end the episode with someone not making it out of the fire.” Furthermore, creator Marc Cherry also said that this is going to be a huge episode. “It’s one of the biggest special-effects episodes we’ve ever done, actually more difficult than the tornado,” he said, adding “The nightclub gets set on fire. It’s connected to the mystery, and it’s going to be a huge episode.”

Meanwhile, Susan’s daughter Julie comes to visit with her surprising new boyfriend. Gaby uncovers the unsettling truth about Mrs. Hildebrand’s past and Katherine has a confession to make to Susan. A reporter looks to expose Bree’s imperfections and Lynette learns Porter and Anne Schilling plan to leave Fairview and disappear.

The episode will be called “City on Fire” and present Tokyo Police Club making a guest star appearance as one of the bands that will battle Dave’s band at a local club. It will be aired on November 16.

Lynette confronts her worst fear in the new episode of “Desperate Housewives“. After suspecting her husband of cheating, Lynette reaches out to ‘the other woman’ and slaps her on the face. Meanwhile, she and Tom will also uncover an unsettling truth about their son, Porter.

Also in the episode called “What More Do I Need?”, Gabrielle suspects Carlos’ best client has ulterior motives; Bree’s moment of weakness could bring her great embarrassment and shame; and Katherine’s not so little secret is unveiled. Meanwhile, Susan learns of Jackson’s true passion, and Mrs. McCluskey’s sister unearths a disturbing fact about Dave.

“What More Do I Need?” will air on November 9.

A major spoiler about the episode was dished out by Felicity Huffman who plays Lynette. She said, “Tom’s going through a midlife crisis, and Lynette thinks the midlife crisis is going to end with a 25-year-old named Bunny and a divorce. So when we find out that the love interest is not Tom’s but one of our sons’, I think there’s a moment of, Whew!”
