It’s been over a week since Edie died on Desperate Housewives. How’s the mourning process going for you?

Well, to help ease the pain, we have some updated information on the Edie sendoff episode on April 19th. As we already knew the episode was going to consist of mostly new flashbacks sequences. According to Kristin Dos Santos, they’re going to be: Susan recalls their first meeting, Lynette reflects on a night out, Bree is reminded of the thoughfulness she bestowed on Orson, and Gaby remembers a night of friendly competition.



In other Desperate Housewives casting news, Gaby’s funny and sexy niece is going to join the cast as a regular next season.

Eva Longoria Parker takes her digital camera and shoots photos of the paparazzi as she leaves LAX on Saturday. Here she is, trying to fly like a normal person, and people are following her around with cameras. But instead of going all Sean Penn on them, she lightheartedly shows ‘em how it feels.

It is still a question of how, surrounding the death of Edie Brit in the next episode of “Desperate Housewives“. The March 22 episode leaves little clue to why Edie was smiling in her death. ABC decides to make this a cliffhanger, returning the show only on April 19.

In the preview for the new episode called “Look Into Their Eyes and You See What They Know”, Susan whispers to Edie’s ears, “you’re gonna be just fine”. The women, Lynette, Mrs McClucksy, Bree, Susan and Gaby, then carry the urn on a road trip to find Edie’s long-lost son, Travers.

During the trip, the women have flashbacks on their time with Edie. They visit Travers at school to tell him what happened to Edie. Meanwhile, Bree’s marriage is troubled to the limits with her paying a visit to Orson.

In a scoop by EW, it is revealed that a new character will be added to figure out “Edie’s exit in a surprising way”. Gloria LeRoy will fill in the role which is introduced in the April episode.

After a two-week worth of break, “Desperate Housewives” will return with a large scale, a murder. On the March 8 episode called “Crime Doesn’t Pay”, Edie digs into Dave’s past after a chance encounter with an old acquaintance.

Meanwhile, Bree tells Lynette she’ll help Tom secure a new job, but the best intentions will reach a tempestuous end and reveal Orson’s shameful misdeeds; Gaby finds herself in a precarious position when Carlos’ adulterous boss begins using her to cover for himself as he continues to cheat on his wife.

Recently, the show has been made the center of the media after Nicolette Sheridan, the actress who portrays Edie, is said to leave the show. Her last episode which is still unknown, will see her killed through a wire shock. The rest of the desperate housewives then must break the news to Edie’s son.
